Authorities in protection suits searched a downtown Spokane apartment Saturday, investigating the recent discovery of a pair of letters containing the deadly poison ricin. Gold jewellery demand reached a record high value of US$28.9 billion in the first quarter, up 12 per cent from the same quarter last year.
Speaking to Russia's Interfax news agency, the Federal Security Service spokesman said his agency had complained to the CIA station chief as far back as October 2011 "that if they [the Americans] continue their provocative recruitment efforts regarding employees of the Russian secret services, the FSB will take 'mirror' actions against CIA agents". In that statement, the spokesman included the station chief's name. The US embassy declined to comment .
A belly landing or gear-up landing occurs when an aircraft lands without its landing gear fully extended and uses its underside, or belly, as its primary landing device. The aircraft circled Newark in a holding pattern while working to get the gear down. After several failed attempts to get the gear down, the airplane landed on its belly. Passengers were evacuated to the terminal by bus.
